About me
My name is Kaleb Martin. I am married, with a child on the way, and a loving dog named Ruby Ann, who you may see in our therapy sessions.
In treatment, I utilize an ACT approach (see counseling section) because its focus on helping us be who we want to be, regardless of what we face.
I believe in the autonomy of an individual to choose who they want to be regardless of the circumstances of life; this is not to say that there are not real barriers and challenges that we face, some more drastically than others. It does mean that in facing such things, if we surrender to reaction and thereby give up our freedom of choice, then we are giving up the very nature of our identity.
I find that many of us suffer from similar things, and it looks differently for each one of us. I seek to honor this individual presentation in my approach and balance that with a firm reminder that we are all suffering together, and we were not created to do so alone.
